By accessing or using Export Markdown (the "Service"), available at exportmarkdown.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. The service
Export Markdown is a free, browser-based tool that converts content between Markdown and other formats such as PDF, HTML, Word, CSV, JSON, RTF, XML and YAML. All conversions run locally in your browser. We do not receive, store, or process the content you convert.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service lawfully. You will not:
- Use the Service to convert or distribute content that is illegal or infringes the rights of others.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the Service or the infrastructure that serves it.
- Misrepresent the Service as your own or remove attribution from its open-source components.
You are solely responsible for the content you convert and for ensuring you have the right to use it.
4. Intellectual property
The Service's design, branding, and original code are owned by Export Markdown. The Service is built on open-source libraries, each governed by its own license. You retain all rights to the content you convert. We claim no ownership over your files or their output, and since conversions are local, we never even see them.
5. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. While we work to make conversions accurate, we do not guarantee that output will be error-free or fit for a particular purpose. Always review converted files — especially formatting-sensitive documents like PDFs and Word files — before relying on them.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Export Markdown shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Because the Service is free and processes nothing on our servers, your use of it is at your own discretion and risk.
7. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice. We may also update these terms; when we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
8. Governing terms
These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Export Markdown regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will stay in effect.
